Alvin Lee & Company / Gentle Giant 1-18-1975 Concert Ticket Stub NY Academy of Music, New York City. This concert (part of which was broadcast on the King Biscuit Flower Hour) was played at a small NYC venue (compared to stadiums and arenas) with a seating capacity of only 3,400 concertgoers. A year later in 1976 it was renamed The Palladium. Alvin Lee was in the band Ten Years After, which broke up in 1973, and reunited in 1983, and sporadically throughout the late 1980's. They were a very successful band that played at the Newport Jazz Festival, Seattle Pop Festival and a blistering performance at Woodstock in 1969 that influenced countless musicians and bands. As a solo artist, Alvin Lee had been involved in countless projects throughout his career with other artists including: George Harrison, Steve Winwood, Ronnie Wood, Mick Fleetwood, Albert Lee, Peter Frampton, Rory Gallagher, Bo Diddley, Scotty Moore, D. His guitar playing and music inspired a generation of guitarists and bands!
