1975 Pink Floyd Hamilton Concert Ticket Stub Music Dark Side of The Moon
June 28th, 1975, Pink Floyd Ticket Stub from Ivor Wynne Stadium, as part of their North American tour. Dimensions: 1.5" x 3". They played their "Dark Side of the Moon" album in the first set and showcased their new album Wish You Were Here. The night is best remembered for the band's special effects and showmanship, as. A giant model airplane travelling by wire high above the crowd appeared to crash into Ivor Wynne's scoreboard and explode. In actuality, members of Pink Floyd's road crew had decided to rig all of the remaining surplus pyrotechnics from the tour to the scoreboard and set them to go off in conjunction with a simulated plane crash. No one was injured, but the explosion was sufficient to destroy the scoreboard and blow out the stadium's back wall. Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965. By Syd Barrett (guitar, lead vocals), Nick Mason (drums), Roger Waters (bass guitar, vocals) and Richard Wright (keyboards, vocals). The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Four Pink Floyd albums topped the US Billboard 200 and five topped the UK Albums Chart, and the band was inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
