Elvis Presley Concert Ticket Stub / G. I. Blues Soundtrack Record/gospel Cassette

  
This ticket is more than 40 years old and has only seen light a couple times. That's why it's in such pristine condition. I went to this concert, personally, in 1975 at the Veterans Memorial Colliseum in New Haven , Connecticut on July 17,1975. Elvis was only 40 years old that Thursday evening in July. The New Haven Colliseum closed in 2002 and was imploded in 2007. But the "KING" will live on forever in our minds and memories. Also included is the 1960 original soundtrack recording of the movie G. Blues in excellent playing condition. Elvis' first movie after getting out of the Army in 1960 was G. Elvis had started to lay down vocals for the big Hal Wallis musical production in March a month before he began working on the Paramount Production. The numbers on this album were a break from Elvis' rock and roll style before the two year stint in the Army. Blues soundtrack contains the tamest songs of his career up to this point. But then it was Elvis and only he could sing these songs with pure enthusiasm The most affective song on this album was "Wooden Heart" which became a number one hit for Joe Dowell in 1961.

The album also contains the Carl Perkins hit "Blue Suede Shoes" which Elvis had recorded and hit number 20 with in 1956. The album is listenable and enjoyable because it is Elvis. Tonight is So Right for Love 1. What's She Really Like 2. Doin the Best I Can.
