LED ZEPPELIN Original 1977 CONCERT Ticket STUB, Madison Square Garden, NYC

  

This is a nice LED ZEPPELIN concert ticket stub. For a show that took place on June 7 th , 1977 at Madison Square Garden, NYC. Only about 14 more dates would occur before the tour would end prematurely. It was cancelled after the July 24th show in Oakland due to Robert Plant's son's death arising from food poisoning.

This final US tour would remain their biggest and most profitable tour. The nice thing about this stub is that in addition to the Led Zeppelin in small print you also have the full'Zeppelin' in big print. This is rather rare, most people let the attendant rip the ticket and they almost always kept the stubs very short (roughly close to the blue line). The only way to get this much stub was by holding the stub tightly and/or asking the attendant to be generous and then them actually doing it. Most MSG stubs have very little more than the band name in small print between the blue lines.

So, here you have about as nice of a Zep MSG stub that you will ever find! They would go on to play 4 shows in 1979 and about 15 shows in 1980, all in Europe, before John Bonham died and the band disolved. Here is a great video of the 2012 Kennedy Honors when Led Zeppelin were honored and includes great Led Zeppelin tribute songs with the Foo Fighters, Kid Rock and Lenny Kravitz just ripping it up, and with Ann & Nancy Wilson, Jason Bonham and choir doing a nice job of Stairway to Heaven.
