IN RESEDA, CALIFORNIA ON APRIL 27, 1984. THIS MAY BE SOME OF THE EARLIEST PRE-GUNS N' ROSES MEMORBILIA EVER!!! THIS IS A GREAT PIECE OF GUNS N' ROSES HISTORY. I HAVE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THIS TICKET. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS GENUINE AND WOULD BE ONE OF AXL'S AND IZZY'S FIRST SHOWS IN HOLLYWOOD.

I HAVE ALSO CONSULTED A WELL-KNOWN DELI OWNER MARC CANTER, WHO IS A GUNS N' ROSES FRIEND/INSIDER/ AUTHOR/HISTORIAN AND EARLY SUPPORTER, AND SHOWED HIM THE PICTURES OF THE TICKET. HE FELT IT IS POSSIBLE THAT HOLLYWOOD ROSE COULD HAVE PLAYED THIS SHOW, BUT DID NOT CONFIRM IT.

READ THE EXCERPT OF THE INTERVIEW WITH JOHNNY KREIS. THIS IS WHAT LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THEY PLAYED THIS SHOW.

THE TIMELINE IS VERY SMALL FOR THEM TO HAVE PLAYED THIS VENUE, AND THIS DATE FITS PERFECTLY WITHIN THAT TIMELINE. THIS TICKET WAS ACQUIRED IN A LOT OF TICKET STUBS FROM THAT VENUE AND ERA. A FEW HAVE OPENING BANDS WRITTEN ON THE BACK.

'ROSE'' IS WRITTEN IN PEN ON THE BACK OF THE TICKET. Was an American hard rock group formed in 1983 and is best known as the precursor group for what would eventually become Guns N' Roses.

The group was founded by Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Chris Weber while they were aided during live shows by Rick Mars, Johnny Kreis, Steve Darrow and Andre Troxx. Rose, Stradlin and Weber, along with Kreis, recorded a five-song demo in 1984. However after a number of lineup changes, which includes Weber and Kreis being replaced by Slash and Steven Adler (both then of Road Crew) respectively as well the departure of Stradlin, the group disbanded the same year.

Hollywood Rose reunited briefly in 1985 with Rose, Stradlin, Weber and Darrow returning and adding former L. Guns drummer Rob Gardner to the group. Guns founder Tracii Guns eventually replaced Weber.

They changed their name to Guns N' Roses combining the names of L. Guns and Hollywood Rose with L. Guns bassist Ole Beich replacing Darrow. Eventually Guns, Gardner and Beich were replaced by former Hollywood Rose members Slash, Adler and their former Road Crew band mate Duff McKagan with this lineup becoming known as the "classic lineup" of Guns N' Roses.

Rose/Hollywood Rose plays shows in the Los Angeles area. Slash plays in Road Crew (with Steven) and London. Duff was their first roadie. Hollywood Rose (Axl, Izzy, Chris Weber and Johnny Kreis) record a demo featuring the tracks "Killing Time", "Anything Goes", "Rocker", "Shadow Of Your Love" and "Reckless Life".

Rose, with Axl and Izzy, play a show at the Orphanage in North Hollywood, CA. Hollywood Rose plays at Madame Wong's East in Los Angeles, CA. The New Hollywood Rose plays at Madame Wong's West. The line-up for this gig is Axl, Slash, Steven Darrow and Steven Adler. It was the first time Axl played a show with Slash and Steven.

Can you describe your most memorable gig with Hollywood Rose? One of our, well one of my most memorable gigs with Hollywood Rose was a show at a place in the San Fernando Valley called The Country Club, one of the most largest venues when we came out for our first time and from the first note [we] played, the audience was in awe! They were blown away by the wreckless yet raw Bluesy rock riffs and drumbeats crowned by the most intense vocal style of the one and only Axl Rose. Was a nightclub and music venue located in Reseda, California. The club hosted concerts until it closed sometime in the late 1990s. Notable acts such as B.

Saxon, Bob Weir, Social Distortion, Fugazi, KISS, Soundgarden, Half Way Home, Bad Religion, Armored Saint, Go Ahead, Nirvana, James Brown, System of a Down, Pur'p'l Tur't'lz, Tom Petty, Metallica and Blue Öyster Cult performed there.
