1970 LED ZEPPELIN Rare Original Concert Ticket Stub (Reykjavik, Iceland-Laugardalshöll Hall). This was the only time the band ever played in Iceland and was a warm up concert for the band's performance at the Bath Festival in England a week later.
The Led Zeppelin LP, Led Zeppelin III , on Atlantic records and tapes would be released less than 4 months later. Not accepting offers on this item. The band received a very warm welcome from the Icelandic people upon their arrival at the airport. In the early 2000's, a short video clip of the band performing'Dazed and Confused' along with a brief interview with Robert Plant surfaced from this concert. Please check out my other auctions for more rare concert ticket stubs/music magazines from the 70's/80's.
This concert ticket stub is one of the most sought after ticket stubs amongst Led Zeppelin fans and collectors as it was the band's only ever concert appearance in Iceland. Ticket stub measures approximately 2.75" by 4.75" with entire band name still visible. Other than a couple of pinholes in upper left hand corner, ticket stub is still in very nice condition with minimal/normal creasing. Also, there is no writing or tape residue on ticket stub, either. The item "LED ZEPPELIN-John Bonham-1970 RARE Concert Ticket Stub (Reykjavik, Iceland)" is in sale since Sunday, August 23, 2020.
