What Im offering is an ORIGINAL concert ticket stub for George Harrison & Friends, aka the Concert For Bangladesh, at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY on August 1, 1971. There were two performances held.

This is a stub for the afternoon performance. Though the ticket stub say July 31 on it, the concert was actually held on the afternoon of Aug 1. Besides setting up the stage, the venue also added raised seating at the back of the floor and additional prep work/ logistics in regards to setting up cameras to film both concerts for a future movie release. The 31st was also used for rehearsing and doing a soundcheck for all the invited musician who were currently in town.

The concert was held to raise international awareness to the plight of, and to raise funds for the thousands of East Pakastani refugees fleeing the country due to the Bangladesh Liberation War and subsequent genocide. The ticket stub measures approximately 1 ¾ inch X 2 inch and is in Good condition. The stub has a few light creases. The stub was removed from a scrapbook so there is some non-sticky residue/ discoloration on the back. Some of the musicians that performed at the concert included Ravi Shankar, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Leon Russell and others.
