THE WHO concert tragedy , on Dec 3, 1979 in Cincinnati, Ohio was a terrible event, earning Cincinnati the "city whose name must not be spoken" amongst some. It changed "festival" or "general admission" policies to concerts and public events in Cincinnati and across the U.
I've seen these ticket stubs don't seem to come up for sale that often. This was quite a emotional event for the band as most know. If interested you would know better than I. I know some collectors like to have items graded and examined by authentication services.
This would be extra so if account for the cost of this in your offer, This can be worked out at a reputable firm of our mutual agreement. These and other details can be discussed in contacts, preferably before sale. Contact for more info if needed. On that fateful evening on December 3 1979 here in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bob went to "The Who" concert at the then Riverfront Colliseum next to the Red's Riverfront stadium on the banks of, well the Ohio river.
Bob noted that the usual "festival seating" crush was less than the previous Zepplin concert he had been to before, where he was literally holding up a smaller woman crushed between him and the eager Zepplin fans. Her legs swinging a foot off the ground. Bob felt the crowd at this Who concert however were a bit less rowdy actually. The ambulances he saw upon leaving wrote off as the usual "overdose squads" as he put it , similar to the Zepplin and other concerts he he had been to. Not till his arrival home to his anxious awaiting family did he learn of the true tragedy that nite. This was the case for othersI knew who attended and I seem to recall a common theme on Local News broadcasts at the time. Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, Keith Moon.
