On December 12, 1987, The Cars wrapped up their. Tour with a performance at Detroit's Cobo Arena, with The Brandos as the opening act. This concert was the band's final live show with the original lineup until their reunion in 2011. It was particularly significant as it marked bassist and vocalist Benjamin Orr's last performance with the group before his passing in 2000. Following this show, The Cars disbanded and remained inactive until they reunited in 2011.
